I've spent over 20 years in the arts, including 15 years working in the wider art world both here in the UK and abroad. Art has been the one constant in my life - the place I return to, the thing that grounds me, and the tool I use to help others connect, breathe, and express who they are.

I set up Mad About Art because I genuinely believe everyone deserves an outlet. Not just trained artists, not just confident people - everyone. Art is essential for our health, our wellbeing, and our sense of self. It gives us space to be a bit messy, a bit mad, a bit free... and that's exactly what I want to encourage.
 

My work extends into the community through partnerships with brilliant Gloucester charities, including The Venture, Gloucester Gateway Trust, and GL4 CIC. Together, we create opportunities for people who might not normally access art - young people, families, vulnerable adults, and those who simply need a safe, creative moment in their week.
 

I'm a big believer in the idea of paying it forward. If someone can afford to support someone else's place in a workshop, amazing. If not, the door stays open anyway. Creativity shouldn't be a luxury - it should be for everyone.

I also work a lot with neurodivergent (neuro-spicy!) individuals, creating environments where people can stim, pause, explore, and express themselves without judgement. Art should be a space where brains of all flavours feel welcome.
