Madeleine Staples
Artist based in Gloucestershire
I have been in the Arts industry for 20 years and am mad-passionate about all things art. Excelling in the arts as a child - attending a private Dance & Musical Theatre School in Lincolnshire and receiving A’s in GCSE & A-Levels in Art, Design Technology, Maths and English et al, I swerved University in my late teens to become the youngest Pub Manager in the UK for a national chain. After spending 7 years running high-volume, city centre pubs, I decided I should pursue my original passion in The Arts. I set about an Art Foundation course in Cambridgeshire were I received a distinction and an award for Boundless Creative Energy. I then moved to London and Michigan USA to read Fine Art and attained 1st Class BA hons. Fresh out of university, I accepted a job with Damien Hirst where I worked for a decade in fabrication and installation on seminal shows including his retrospective at Tate Modern (2012), Relics at the Al Riwaq in Doha (2013) and Treasures from the Wreck of the Unbelievable in Venice (2017). I have vast experience in blue-chip galleries, museums and private clients around the world. My own practise specialises in conceptual Fine Art in a range of mediums. In 2022 I will have my first solo shows in Gloucestershire and London. Alongside this I have a devotion to inspire others, to engage in art practise. I want to inspire fun and education and encourage the madness in all of us. I hold an Enhanced DBS Certificate as well as Paediatric First Aid as trained with the British Red Cross. At the heart and soul of my business is the promise and commitment to the safe guarding and inclusivity for everybody and our environment.
